Cold Pad provides durable composite bonding & fastening solutions to facilitate structural maintenance, retrofit & upgrade operations while reducing OPEX by eradicating associated costs. Cold Pad ambitions to lower the use of materials, manhours and energy from the construction phase to the life extension and decommissioning of structures.
We deliver unique, safe, painless, and non-intrusive cold works with limitless applications for all steel and concrete structures, in power generation, hydrogen value chain, offshore wind turbines, shipping and Oil & Gas storage facilities. We are solving the difficult equation of making the life extensions of mature industrial infrastructures both environmentally and economically viable

OUR STORY
COLD PAD was founded by Jean-Philippe Court in 2011 after he realized the environmental risks and the costly business interruptions due to hot works on offshore oil and gas platforms. He wondered why alternative methodologies (like composite repairs) which may be conventional in the Aeronautics or automotive business were not more present in his business.
He shortly realized that composite materials and adhesive bonding are intrinsically linked and that the latter’s performance is highly dependent on environmental humidity. From that challenge that can be summarized as “how to control humidity in a tropical and marine environment in order to be reliable and repeatable”, COLD PAD came up with a breakthrough innovation and a product application for the Marine industry… and then we grew…
