Severe corrosion was discovered on a transverse bulkhead inside a water ballast tank of an FPSO in Malaysia.
The typical solution would have involved a traditional crop-and-renew. However, due to the proximity of a COT, hot work was considered too risky, and the repair was consequently postponed multiple times.
