Trident Energy contacted us regarding corrosion identified inside a tank on an FPSO. Some areas showed signs of material thinning, reducing local structural strength and potentially leading to further issues if left unaddressed.

Cold Pad proposed HotShield, a welded sandwich repair system consisting of a new steel plate welded over the damaged area, with polymer injected between the plates to restore the hull’s original structural strength in the affected area.
